I was a classroom teacher for four years before changing my career path. I loved teaching and felt like it was my calling in life until the pandemic hit.
Once that happened, a few things changed for me. First, I realized I enjoyed working remotely. Next, when we did go back to school in the fall, it seemed that everything that was hard about teaching - student behavior, ever changing expectations, etc. - was all a lot to hold. The idea of a thirty year career in teaching seemed daunting.
I ended up deciding that I wanted to explore other options outside of teaching. I spent a lot of time and energy figuring out what that looked like for me.
Once I did figure out what I wanted to do and how to get there, I ended up landing a corporate job. It allows me to work remote, make more money, and have a work/life balance that I wasn't able to achieve while teaching.
Now I get to help people who are ready to pivot in their careers too!
